The thread for celebrity deaths..
First up, John Travolta's son found dead. John Travolta's Son Dies Posted Jan 2nd 2009 7:10PM by TMZ Staff Rand Memorial Hospital in the Bahamas tells TMZ the son of John Travolta died today. We're told 16-year-old Jett was vacationing with Travolta and wife Kelly Preston. There have been reports that Jett was autistic, though Travolta has denied it, saying he suffers from Kawasaki Syndrome, a condition which often leads to heart disease. UPDATE 5:15 PM ET -- Police just released more details. According to a report, Jett was last seen going into the bathroom at their private suite at the Old Bahama Bay Resort sometime yesterday. The body was discovered by the caretaker, Jeff Michael Kathrein (pictured bottom right with Travolta in 2006), at 10:00 AM today. The report says Jett suffered from seizures. An autopsy is being performed to determine the exact cause of death. UPDATE 4:54 PM ET -- A police spokeswoman says Jett hit his head in a bathtub. UPDATE: 4:40 PM ET -- Restview Memorial Mortuary and Crematorium in the Bahamas tells TMZ Jett's body would be transferred to there on Monday. UPDATE: 4:00 PM ET -- Travolta's attorney Michael Ossi says Jett suffered a seizure at his family's vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he died on scene. Robert Giden, president of Ginn Properties (which owns the Old Bahama Bay Hotel), tells TMZ, "The Travolta family has become like family to us at Old Bahama Bay and we extend our deepest sympathies to them." Horrible, but maybe if Travolta didn't deny the kids real medical issues due to his religious beliefs, he would have had some better medical treatment?
I know there's no cure for autism (girlfriend's brother is Autistic), but it can be controlled well enough through medication. Hope for the family's sake that it wasn't some neglect on their part that caused this to happen.

Next... The commisioner from the Batman Movies:
Pat Hingle, known to film audiences as Commissioner Gordon in the "Batman" movies, has died at the age of 84. Family friend Michele Seidman says Hingle died at his home in Carolina Beach shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday. Seidman says he decided to settle in the coastal town after shooting the movie "Maximum Overdrive" in the area in 1986. He lived there for more than 15 years. Hingle's many film credits include "Brewster's Millions" (1983), "Baby Boom" (1987), "The Grifters" (1990) and "The Quick and the Dead" (1995). He played the role of Commissioner Gordon in Tim Burton's "Batman" and "Batman Returns" and again for Joel Schumacher in "Batman Forever" and "Batman and Robin". He's not very familiar to me, but a celebrity non-the-less. I always say celebrity deaths come in 3's. Who's next? |

so I was looking on aol news about that thing about john travolta's son dying seems a little fishy to me but whatever and they had a picture thing of people that have died mostly old people but a few caught my mind.
Betty Page: when the hell did thathappen oh well at least her days of fame lasted long enough for her to be on lunchboxes George Carlin: I was actually in santa monica when he was admitted into the hospital there but I didn't get ot see him now thats pretty sad. He was an awesome comedian especially in his younger years That guy that does the voice for the previews: Forgot his name but damn now previews are weak and just visuals and don't explain anything really. Can't tell if a movie is going to suck or not and at least if it did suck back then he did a cool job making it sound good Heath Ledger: well yeah he rocked as the joker and pretty much sucked at everything else but come on accidental pill overdose haha. "oops my bad I took too many!!!" fuck that olsen girl bitch too she was probably supplying him stupid junkies That guy from the client: Brad renfrow or whatever i think his name was. He never really did much with his acting career though. I just thought it was funny cause it was all accidental heroin overdose "oops how did that needle get in my arm!!!" ok thats all oh and wtf happened to ronald mcdonald |

movie preview guy: Don Lafontaine. In a world filled with mediocre voice-over work, one man reigned supreme.
