anyone know where i can use aol for free??

i know its suppose to be free now, but not 9.1 ... tried it, still gotta pay like 25 bucks a month, which is pathetic... i just want it for the chat rooms and was wondering if there is any versions out there that will let me .. thanks!

I don't use AOL...but I think all the older versions are free....you just have to bring your own highspeed internet access.

i tried and you still have to put in a credit card number and all that shit ... oh well, pretty stupid if you ask me ... don't advertise something saying its free when its really not

you might try and sign up for a free AIM account, then try logging into the AOL client with the name and password you created for AIM.

Wrong. aol.com you create an account, the credit card is only to verify that you are 18 years old. It charges $1 to your account which is removed once it confirms the credit card is a real card.

oh really? ... cause when i dLed the newer aol 9.1 ... it said that i will be charged 25 bucks a month once i put in my credit card information .. so that isn't true?

sign up for an account.

then go to AOL. sign in under your freshly made account, click something, maybe "chat now"

it will ask you to verify that you are of age, and then you're account will be fully activated.
