DONT YOU HATE THAT!! you are on the phone and then they suddenly put you on hold and all you hear is "you've been placed on hold, please wait" arghhh!!

I do dsl technical support, so I put people on hold all the time. Granted, this is at work. At home I dont put people on hold. Then again, at home, I rarely answer the phone.

Personal calls - I WILL NOT wait on hold for more than 3 minutes. If you want to get off the phone with me and call me back...fine....but I'm NOT sitting there while you have another conversation.

If I'm calling a business I won't wait on hold for more than 10 minutes...and that's REALLY stretching it....if I DO stay on hold it's because I put the phone on speakerphone and I'm doing other things while I wait.

I hate when I get put on hold without even being told/asked to hold on.

And there is no click to warn you...so you just keep talking to yourself...

I hate it when companies cally ou, with their computer operator, say they have an important message for you, and then immediately put you on hold. It's like, wtf. you called me, don't put me on hold you fucking bastard.

what's really annoying is when the idiot who puts you on hold calls back mad at the fact that you hung up while they were either on the other line or busy doing something else.... like are you serious???? ..but they are.

I love bein' put on hold! Better reason to hang up! If I'm ever on the phone with someone (rarely), and they get a "beep", and are like.."hold on, I got another call....be right back", I think I hang up before they even click over. haha Screw themmmm. I don't do hold. If you put me on hold, I hang up. Most of the time I can barely pay attention to a conversation, my ADD goes crazy...so if you leave me in silence I'm going to find something to entertain me.

Only exceptions are at work (obv!) and with my grandma, cause she hears things and always thinks people are calling her so she checks calling waiting like 15 times a conversation.
